How much does your tasting cost?

Tastings are FREE to all those over 21 years of age with valid photo ID.

I forgot my ID, can I still sample?

Unfortunately, if you forget your ID and are over 21 (+) years of age we will not be able to serve you. State law requires that a customer present a valid photo ID prior to sampling or purchasing alcohol in the state of TN.

Is the winery family friendly?

Of course!  Anyone is welcome to visit with us and also tour our winery. We welcome families and friends of all ages – you simply must be 21 (+) years of age and present a valid photo ID to sample or purchase our products.

Are your wines gluten free and/or vegan friendly?

Our wines contain no gluten – however the yeast we use to ferment them comes from a source that does contain gluten so we cannot make the official claim that they are gluten free.  All of our wines are vegan friendly!

Do you ship your wines?

Yes!  See our shipping section on our website for more information or call our shipping department at 1-866-453-6334.

Can I bring my dog/cat/squirrel with me?

We all love our pets but the TN Department of Agriculture does not currently allow animals within our winery premises.  We of course make an exception for service animals!

Do I need to make a reservation for my tasting? I have a large group!

At this time we do not accept reservations but it’s always nice to know you are planning to join us!  Feel free to call ahead if you are concerned about how busy we will be but we ensure you that you’ll get up to a bar – even during peak season.  Wait time typically never exceeds 15 minutes. 

WINE TRAIL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does the Wine Trail work?

You can enjoy the wine trail 2 ways. The first is self-guided, where you can travel at your own pace. You may taste 4 wines for free at any of the wineries, or try them all for a fee at each location!  Make sure you pick up a passport at the first winery you decide to visit; if you get stamps from all of them along the trail, you’ll get a free gift! There are no age restrictions to visit the winery (but there is to sample and participate in the trail, of course! Must be 21+). You do not need to make any reservations, even if you have a group.

 

Another option is our VIP Wine Tour option where you can book at www.rockytopwineries.eventbrite.com where you will have your own personally guide take you to select wineries along the Trail, receive private behind-the-scenes tours, premium tastings, a food and wine pairing lesson, a swag bag, and discounts on all purchases! This is the perfect option if you are with a group. Tickets to the shuttle are 21+ only and each shuttle holds 14 people maximum.

Do I need to make reservations for tastings or participation in the Wine Trail?

You do not need to make any reservation if you’re doing a self-guided tour, however, if you are participating in the VIP Wine Tour you must book your tickets 24 hours in advance at www.rockytopwineries.eventbrite.com.

Would you be interested in making a donation to my charity/event?

Generally, we support a limited number of local charities but do consider others on a case by case basis. All charitable donation requests must be faxed to 865-428-4052 to the attention of Katie.  Note: As the number of donation requests we receive is very high, you will only receive a message back if we decide to donate.

SHIPPING AND WINE CLUB FAQ

How long does it take for our order to ship?

Typically we ship out all shipments the same or next business day. 

Can you take off the requirement for the adult signature?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship out any shipment without first requiring an adult signature. FedEx will not pick up our packages unless the package states that an adult signature is required, as it is an alcohol product. If you need to change your shipping address to your place of employment, we can do that. We can also ship to a friend, family member, or neighbor (21+) who will be home and is willing to sign for and accept the package on your behalf.

When will my card be charged and/or when will I get my club shipment?

Monthly 3 Pack Club — Your card will be charged on or around the 15th of each month.. Your order will be shipped out shortly after you’re charged for that club shipment. You will be e-mailed a receipt with a tracking link in the bottom right box. You can track your shipment there. Please keep in mind your package requires an adult signature (21+). If you need to change your shipping address please let us know.

 

Winemaker’s Select Club — Your card will be charged on the first business day of the month. We ship these out the second Wednesday of the month. Once you receive your e-mailed receipt, you can track the package by clicking the link in the bottom right box. Please keep in mind your package requires an adult signature (21+). If you need to change your shipping address please let us know.

 

Quarterly Case Club — Your card will be charged on the first business day of the month. Your package will be heading your way two days later. Once you receive your e-mailed receipt, you can track the package by clicking the link in the bottom right box. Please keep in mind your package requires an adult signature (21+). If you need to change your shipping address please let us know.

I won't be home to sign for my package. What can I do?

If you need to change your shipping address to your place of employment, we can do that. We can also ship to a friend, family member, or neighbor (21+) who will be home and is willing to sign for and accept the package on your behalf.

Once I sign up for the club, do I have to receive shipments for a year?

Once you sign up for the club, you will be obligated to receive one club shipment before cancelling. After your initial shipment, if you would like to cancel future shipments we will be happy to accommodate you.  Please reach us directly at 865-389-9490 or rockytopwineclub@gmail.com.

Can I skip a shipment? How do I go about doing so?

You absolutely can skip a shipment if you need to. We completely understand that sometimes you have plenty of wine or something is going on that was unexpected. If you need to skip a month, just call or e-mail us and let us know. We can take care of that for you. Your membership will automatically reactivate after your skipped shipment in time to choose your wines for the next club shipment.

I logged in and cannot find where to put my selection in/change my selection? also applies to I put my selection in, but it's not showing that new selection. Help!

Once you log into your club profile, the tab labeled “selection” is the third one over. You can remove any selections and add any new ones there. Be sure to hit save before you leave the page so your selections are saved. Once you have changed and saved your selections, you will receive an e-mail confirming your selection. As long as this is correct, you’re good to go. If you do not receive the e-mail or if it’s incorrect, please let us know.

I cannot find a wine I want in my club shipment. Can you help me? (seasonal wine)

Winemaker’s Select and Quarterly Case Clubs — We do not offer seasonal wines in our club shipments as we cannot guarantee we will have enough for all members who would like to have them in their shipments. Again, these offerings are limited but can be found in our online shopping cart, when in season.  See the link below for ordering outside of your regular club shipments. Remember to log in with your club login information once prompted once on the shopping cart to ensure you receive your additional club member discount.

I cannot find a wine I want in my club shipment. Can you help me? (sparkling wine)

Winemaker’s Select and Quarterly Case Clubs — We do not offer sparkling wines in our club shipments, as our packages must be of uniform size and weight. These  wines can be found in our online shopping cart, as long as they are available. See the link below ti order some if you’d like, outside of your club shipment. Remember to log in with your club login information once prompted once on the shopping cart to ensure you receive your additional club member discount.
